Parents cannot be made to pay for education provided during school hours but can be asked to make a voluntary contribution towards the costs of practical activity which takes place during school hours, and school equipment, e.g. Design Technology materials, cooking ingredients. Voluntary contributions may also be requested for educational visits and trips during school hours, e.g. theatre, museums, farms, exhibitions. If insufficient contributions are received to make the trip viable it may be cancelled. Charges may be made for additional music tuition through Dudley Music Services.
